Praying for poetry

In a time when people over expose bodies and lives to prove their importance
We pray for ART
We pray for POETRY
Praising revealed lives
Praising revealed bodies not as meat/meet in the market
Not as weapons or empty seduction machines
But as refined expressions of the soul, of awareness and meaning.

Have they forgotten their value?

The major value in life is not in what you get, not in what you earn, but in what you become.

Maybe there is a lack of love.

At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet
Plato

Probably the audience for sensibility has gone.

To have great poets, there must be great audiences
Walt Whitman

Perhaps, we live in a ring of brutes who are thirsty and hungry for something really barbaric and inspiring.

Poetry must have something in it that is barbaric, vast and wild.
Denis Diderot

Maybe they are just afraid to grow old and vanish
Because bodies are perishable
Bodies do not leave legacies
And the soul aims for immortality
The immortality of the example you leave for your children, for the future generations.
You’re their living legacy and they deserve more, they are craving for meaning and significance.

Certainly they are worried about becoming poor, of dying alone
Since money should be your servant, not your master.
Since money definitely cannot buy love.

In a land of brutality
We pray for ART
We pray for POETRY
We pray for SIGNIFICANCE
We pray for LOVE
We pray for a LEGACY for our children
We pray for the IMMORTALITY of our lives
